This Christmas, our Health Visitors will be giving age appropriate presents to some of the most vulnerable families across Kingston.
Many of these families would not be able to afford a present for their child/ren and with the help of donations from Kingston charity, Growbaby, our health visitors will be delivering presents to the families they help throughout the year.
The first set of presents went to our young mums alongside a Christmas party and a visit from Father Christmas who gave out the presents.
Andrea Roberts, Health Visitor, said: “It was great to give presents to the children and we can’t wait to deliver the rest. Many of our families can’t afford presents and these donations from Growbaby allow us to put a smile on a child’s face.”
Growbaby has also donated Christmas presents for all of the women in our Monday Mums Group and for their children.
Our Health Visitors run various groups in the community including young mums antenatal classes, attend a young mums postnatal group to offer support and run the Monday mums group, a peer support group for mums struggling after having a baby.
